Practice and Live

Practice is play money against the live market. Live is real SOL from your own wallet. Get cooked on one. Print on the other.

One switch, every screen

One mode at a time. Flip it and every screen flips with you.

  • Practice buys with practice money. Prices, charts and fills come off the same live market data as Live. Nothing touches your wallet.
  • Live buys with real SOL from your Main wallet. Real gains, real losses.

No labels. A paper icon means Practice. A SOL icon means Live. Portfolio, your balance and your P&L always show the mode you are in. Practice trades and live trades never mix. No paper wins padding your real P&L.

Going to Practice is instant. Going to Live always asks first. Real money gets a speed bump.

Switch between Practice and Live in the header. Paper or SOL, right in the header. One click.

Play money

Your practice money starts at 1,000 USD worth of SOL, priced at the SOL price when you first get it or reset it.

Play money still pays to trade. Every buy, every sell. Free fills teach you nothing:

  • When a live quote for your size exists, the fill uses that quote's price and the pool's own swap fee, plus 0.0002 SOL for the network priority fee and tip.
  • When no quote exists, the fill uses a 0.5% swap cost, 0.0002 SOL for the priority fee and tip, and price impact based on the depth of the token's pool.

Smallest practice buy is 0.01 SOL.

Going Live

  1. Add SOL to your Main wallet. See Funding your wallet. Live needs a small minimum balance, and the switch tells you the amount if you are short.
  2. Press the SOL icon in the header, or go to Account and use the Practice or Live row.
  3. Read the Switch to Live? window. It shows your Main wallet, its balance and our fee on each buy and sell.
  4. Press Switch to Live, or Stay in Practice to back out.

A message confirms Live is on, with "Buys use your Main wallet." under it. Real bags now.

Got copies running? They stay in Practice. The window says so, with Choose next to it. Ignore it and only your own trades go Live.

Want some copies on real SOL? Press Choose and tick them. Tick one and you confirm "I understand my copies buy with real SOL, without asking each time." Because they will. Live copies buy from your Copy wallet, not your Main wallet, so fund that one too. The window checks it has SOL and that the daily loss limits of the copies you picked fit inside it. See Copy Trade.

Never confirmed copies in Live and you start a new copy while Live? A short Copy in Live? window asks. Once. Confirm it and every new copy you start while Live goes straight to Live.

Back to Practice

  1. Press the paper icon in the header, or pick Practice in Account > Practice or Live.

No confirm. A message reads Back to practice, "Buys use practice money." Copies and snipes running in Live drop back to Practice with you.

Positions you already hold in Live stay in your wallet. Switch back to Live to see and sell them in Portfolio. Your bags don't vanish because you switched modes.

Reset practice

Blew it up? Wipe the slate.

  1. Open Account.
  2. Find Practice money and press Reset.
  3. Start practice over? opens under the row. On a phone it opens as a window that also shows your practice balance.
  4. Press Reset practice, or Cancel to keep it.

Your practice trades get archived and your practice money starts again at 1,000 USD worth of SOL. Live money, live trades and your wallets are never touched.

Reset practice starts your practice money over. Live is never touched. Reset nukes the play money. Your real SOL never moves.

On your phone

Up top sits the balance pill: mode icon, your balance, a plus to add money. Tap the icon to switch. Going Live opens the same Switch to Live? window. Same speed bump.

Empty wallet

Hit Buy in Live with zero SOL and you get Your wallet is empty: your deposit address, Add money and Try in Practice.

The window sits there waiting for your SOL. It lands, you get the same buy back in one tap. No hunting for the token again.

Rather paper it? Try in Practice flips you to practice money and places that buy in Practice. Portfolio offers the same thing as Try with paper money.

Leaderboards

Paper P&L and real P&L never share a board. Two icons on the leaderboard pick which one you see: paper for Practice, SOL for Live. Practice heroes never sit next to real ones.

Before you send it

  • New strategy, new copy? Run it in Practice first. Fills carry real costs, so if it holds up there it is a fair read.
  • Your mode lives on your account. Every tab and every device you sign in on shows the same one.
  • Your keys, your bags, both modes. We never hold your funds. Export your private key from Account any time.
